I already confirmed a donation on an FAQ post, do I still need to PM the mods/comment on the Donation confirmation entry?

I'll check it for you. Can you link me to the auction?

Auction is here.
lavanyasix emailed me with her receipt of a donation of $15 to the Canadian Red Cross.

Yep! The WORDS mod has you marked as closed/confirmed and the donation has been entered. :)

Thank you!

Edited for spelling.

If I would like to help the mods by contacting my winning bidders, but I might not be on the internet on the 31st, after all the comments are screened. Will I still be able to reply to a bidder's comment at that time, after screening?

As for the confirmation of donation, do I simply have to tell you that I have seen their email/receipt, or should I host the image somewhere and actually link you to it?

hi! after all comments are screened, you will not be able to see or reply to the comments to your offer post. we will be combing through all the offer posts and notifying both offerers and winning bidders. (this may be subject to change, though, so please stay tuned for more detailed guidelines towards the end of the auction.)

for confirmation of donation, either is fine by us. :)

I posted a Request and someone has agreed to write fic in exchange for my donation.

I assume this works like a Buy it Now and I can make the donation immediately. Is this correct?

Who confirms in the case of a Request? Do I confirm my donation, or does the person writing for me do it after I send hir a copy of the receipt?

I was about to ask the same questions. :-) Someone agreed to take on my request, and I'd like to know how I go from here. :-)
Should I wait to send my donation until all the auctions are closed, or should I send it now? :-)

Thanks so much in advance for answering! :-)

hi! in case of a fulfilled Request (in which the requester considers the thread closed), the person who is fulfilling the request will be the one to make a donation confirmation post. it does work like a buy-it-now, so long as the requester and fulfiller both agree on it. you may make the donation immediately. :)

Thanks so much for your reply! :-)
So, once I've donated, I'll send the confirmation of my donation to the person who fulfilled my request and PM it to you? :-)
Also, should I put up on that particular request post that my request has been filled and is now closed?

Thanks so much for all your help! :-)

I must post the Donation Confirmation just after the person who won confirms the donation, right?

if you consider your offer thread closed for the rest of the auction, then yes, please post the donation confirmation as soon as you can here. if you are leaving it open for multiple winners, then please wait until you consider your thread closed or until the end of auction to make a consolidated donation confirmation post here. :)

I'd like to leave it open but I don't think I'll recieve any more bids... Should I close the thread then? If so, how should I proceed?

whether it is open or closed is up to you. :) if you will be closing the thread, please comment in your thread with a clear statement, such as "This offer thread is closed. Bids will no longer be accepted." then please ensure that you make a donation confirmation post ASAP, including a note that says your offer thread is closed for the rest of the auction period. :)

Okay, so let me see if I have this correct...

I would like to donate now. I figure Doctors Without Borders will be happier the sooner they're able to use my money. I haven't yet bid on anything but I know how much I intend to donate and don't plan on going over that.

Based on the info I've read, I think it's okay if I donate now, and send the confirmation to the people I bid on once the auctions close. Is this correct? Thanks!

hi! yes, this is perfectly fine, as long as the amount on the receipt either matches or exceeds the winning bid amount(s). :)
