I posted a Request and someone has agreed to write fic in exchange for my donation.

I assume this works like a Buy it Now and I can make the donation immediately. Is this correct?

Who confirms in the case of a Request? Do I confirm my donation, or does the person writing for me do it after I send hir a copy of the receipt?

I was about to ask the same questions. :-) Someone agreed to take on my request, and I'd like to know how I go from here. :-)
Should I wait to send my donation until all the auctions are closed, or should I send it now? :-)

Thanks so much in advance for answering! :-)

hi! in case of a fulfilled Request (in which the requester considers the thread closed), the person who is fulfilling the request will be the one to make a donation confirmation post. it does work like a buy-it-now, so long as the requester and fulfiller both agree on it. you may make the donation immediately. :)

Thanks so much for your reply! :-)
So, once I've donated, I'll send the confirmation of my donation to the person who fulfilled my request and PM it to you? :-)
Also, should I put up on that particular request post that my request has been filled and is now closed?

Thanks so much for all your help! :-)

no problem. :) after you send the confirmation to the fulfiller and the fulfiller has acknowledged receiving it, please ask the fulfiller to make a donation confirmation post here that includes a link back to your request thread. and yes, please amend your request post (or post a comment in the same thread) to state that your post is now closed and will not accept further offers.

hope that helps!

Thank you so much, I so much appreciate it! :-)

I just donated, but I'd rather not have all my private information be visible to everyone, (I saw that the fulfiller has to put up a link to a confirmation of the donation.)
What should I do? Should I print out my donation receipt, blank out my last name, address, etc., scan it, and then send it to the fulfiller, or should I send the complete confirmation to you? (If so, probably forwarding it to your e-mail addy might work better.) If so, will you blank out all the private info for the confirmation link?
Please let me know :-)

Thanks so much for all your help! :-)

please send donation confirmation to the fulfiller first. if you are not comfortable sharing personal information with him/her, what you can do is take a screenshot and use Microsoft Paint (or another image editing program) and black out your personal information before sending it to the fulfiller. all the fulfiller has to do is let us know that s/he received the confirmation. it is not necessary to post screenshots here when making a donation confirmation post, though it would be acceptable.

you're welcome. :)
