When I first saw this story I wasn't really surprised that the press were doing their usual sensationalist reporting, and the truth was just irrelevant. I also wasn't surprised when a journalist whose blog I follow posed an entry on just how fictitious this all is. I did something today that I've never done since I've been in the UK. I went exploring around Shepard's Bush/East Acton to see just what sort of Antipodean atmosphere the area has. I've just had a rather slow weekend. With the house to myself, I really just relaxed, made some nice dinners, and drank some nice wine. I've had a slightly subdued week. I had a bit of a cold, which gave me a nasty cough whenever I tried to sleep, so I've had a few sleep deprived nights.
