Thanks for telling me how you handle revisions. I still don't feel ready to revisit my NaNo book, but I feel like trying to improve the draft of the short story I wrote last week. Maybe its because I only invested two days writing it (a few hours each day) or because of its shorter length that I don't feel like I need to let it sit very long before doing some revisions

I hope you find flash challenges to be as fun and as helpful for you as they have been for me. There's actually a community I belong to but only participate in every now and then where I learned about this. You have *exactly* 90 mins to write AND submit your story. All stories are submitted anonymously, then everyone reads, crits, and votes on them. That's been really helpful for me, both getting feedback and having some encouragement by winning categories or "best flash" sometimes. The timetable/schedule on participating and voting is very strict though, and I just have so much going on right now that I can't commit to that at the moment.
