So I just finished watching the Peacekeeper Wars... It was definitely one of the more satisfying series finales I've seen, and I definitely understand what exsequar meant when she told me that she'd never really read fic for Farscape, because canon really does it all. There's kind of nothing more left for me right now ( Read more... )

I don't mind Farscape's long death sequences (okay, I have issues with Zhaan's but that's a story for another day) and D'Argo's was fitting. His and Aeryn's "goodbye" was fucking awesome. Warriors to the end and SO awesome when you think about how they handle death so much differently (good call back to Aeryn about to die in Nerve/The Hidden Memory).

Farscape is extremely rewatchable. My favorite way is rewatching the "wormhole arc" - it's amazing how well it's set up throughout the series and how devastating the conclusion is.

And the real kicker is that it took me a rewatch to really GET that John's "weapon" in the PK Wars isn't the REAL weapon that made the Ancients so wary about the knowledge being unleashed, it's the ability to effectively completely alter space-time (unmake the universe) that scared them. Ahh Farscape. How I love how you meshed the sci AND fi.

I sometimes am still in enough denial to believe that D'Argo is only mostly dead...which totally isn't crazy. It's not like the PLANET was eaten by a black hole or

I kind of feel like Rygel after they transferred the baby. I'm just so-- at a loss. I mean, I think a lot of that feeling has to do with displaced anxiety about how much fucking TIME I spent watching this stuff over the past month when I should have been studying-- doing the math, with each "hour-long" episode taking about 45 minutes, I've spent about three full days, give or take (approximately 67 hours) watching. And I really wanted to say "three solar days" there, lol ( ... )

Ahahaha. WHY DON'T I REMEMBER THAT!? Was it towards the beginning? I know there was all of the stuff about fluid release and two hands (NNGH JOHN CRICHTON). BAH. I'm going to end up rewatching the entire series over the summer, I just know it.

Nothing to say about anything else? :-P
