So I just finished watching the Peacekeeper Wars... It was definitely one of the more satisfying series finales I've seen, and I definitely understand what exsequar meant when she told me that she'd never really read fic for Farscape, because canon really does it all. There's kind of nothing more left for me right now

I kind of feel like Rygel after they transferred the baby. I'm just so-- at a loss. I mean, I think a lot of that feeling has to do with displaced anxiety about how much fucking TIME I spent watching this stuff over the past month when I should have been studying-- doing the math, with each "hour-long" episode taking about 45 minutes, I've spent about three full days, give or take (approximately 67 hours) watching. And I really wanted to say "three solar days" there, lol.

One thing that's struck me about the series, especially having seen a couple of episodes of SG-1 with Vala (Claudia Black's character) in them, is how amazing of an actress she is-- I mean, I know it's the same physical woman, but they're so different. When she's Aeryn, she is AERYN. It's really incredible.

One of my favorite things about the PK Wars, in particular, was how many John/Aeryn throwbacks there were to the Talyn!John/Aeryn relationship-- when they're on the Scarran ship, and they're getting gassed, and Aeryn's just like "You're a plague," and he's like "I know," I just-- AWWW. Their relationship dynamic is just so interesting, too, because she can so clearly kick his ass in so many ways, and yet they get together and he's trying to do everything for her, but you can really see that it's because he loves her and that's how he shows it.

UGH and I LOVED when they fought their way out. Guns were never hot to me before SGA, and even then it was mostly a thigh holster appreciation, but when they burst out of their defenses and were doing the gun-in-each-hand thing, and Aeryn holding Little D with one hand and a gun in the other... I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH AND THEY ARE SO MOTHERFUCKING BADASS.

I'm going off to read your fic now, hahaha.

ETA -- Okay, one thing that's been driving me nuts is that there's a picture or clip somewhere of Aeryn unzipping her black leather vest, and I can't figure out what episode it's from. I can't remember whether John is in the picture (like the foreground, but not as the subject) or whether I'm just imagining that he's there. Come to think of it, it's entirely possible that it's from Out of Their Minds. But it's really bugging me that I can't figure it out.

Also, I could talk about this show forfucking ever.

Ahahaha. WHY DON'T I REMEMBER THAT!? Was it towards the beginning? I know there was all of the stuff about fluid release and two hands (NNGH JOHN CRICHTON). BAH. I'm going to end up rewatching the entire series over the summer, I just know it.
