Brain Dump

The furnace in my office has broken. It's negative 3 in Chicago right now with wind chill. We have a few teeny space heaters working overtime and I'm wearing a long sleeved shirt, sweater, pashmina, another sweater, corduroys, long boots, wool socks and leg warmers. Shana has her puffer coat on and the fur trimmed hood up. She looks like an Eskimo

Can I just say that as an "old" mother, while it's a lot harder on the body, it's so much easier on the spirit to do this with the wisdom of your 30's. I'm not knocking young mothers, it's just for me personally it's been wonderful to do this at 34/35 (and all of my girlfriends who are having babies now in their 30's agree)
