Merry Christmas Winchesters (Closed to John, Dean, Sam, Faith, Anna, Krissy, and Castiel)

Dec 24, 2013 09:24

Christmas was one of those times in which Mary looked forward to the most in the village. It had nothing to do with the peace that seemed to usually find its way in December, but rather, it meant the time of year in which all her family would gather today ( Read more... )

Anna did not show up the same time as Castiel. She decided to go to the bakery last moment and bring some shortbread cookies as a 'thank you'. Anna would have baked them herself, but she wasn't very good in the kitchen.

Before the meal, she sat on the couch with a glass of wine. Her mind was on the ornament Lucifer gave her. She was somewhat thankful for that distraction as having Castiel in the same room was also awkward.

The meal was delicious, as always, and afterwards she volunteered to help clean the dishes. It gave her a good excuse not to mingle.

Krissy had been surprised to be invited to the Christmas gathering, but she was also happy for it. It was surreal, however, to see Dean and Sam with their parents. It was also nice, too. It made her miss her own parents, but there was enough food and conversation to keep Krissy busy.

Ed was cute, too.

Dean crossed the room to pluck a piece of cheesecake off the table and grinned at Krissy. "This is what Christmas is all about. Food and family."

"I'm pretty sure there's enough food here for five families." Krissy smiled in returned. She was impressed by Dean's mother. "But it's nice."

"Well we all eat for five families." Dean smirked as he took a big bite of the cheesecake.

Faith had come to love Mary's get togethers and celebrations. Having a family was nice, something she was cherishing. And that she was grateful Ed could experience. The toddler was currently in the midst of all his unwrapped toys, playing with each in turn, more than a little overwhelmed by the sheer number of them.

Sipping her cider, Faith figured she out to socialize, so she started to wander the room talking to all the familiar faces.

"Ed is getting so big." Anna appeared from the kitchen after finishing the dishes. She wiped her hands with a dish towel and leaned against the doorframe between both spaces.

Faith turned, smiling when she saw Anna, "Hard to believe it's been two years already. Time flies."

"Well, you're doing a good job. He's happy." She smiled softly as she looked at the small child. "Congratulations, by the way. Dean's really excited."

{ooc: She won't come in - she doesn't have a death wish considering what she put John through - but she does want to bother Dean.}

Meg knocked on the door. She had in her arms a medium sized basket with fruit and cookies and a shit-eating grin on her face.

Dean yelled that he'd get the door seeing as how his mother and dad were occupied. He pushed open the door and saw Meg standing there and barely resisted the temptation to shut the door in her face.

"What?"

"Can't a girl bring a fruit basket to wish the Winchesters a Merry Christmas?" Meg asked with a overly-sweet smile as she held up the basket to him.

"A girl can, but not a demon wearing a girl meat suit." Dean said still blocking her entrance even though the salt did a better job of it.

Castiel was pretty used to awkward, but being in the same room with Anna wasn't easy, even if he was now pursuing something with Meg. Actually, that may be one of the reasons why it was awkward, now that he thought about it ( ... )

"The brownies were delicious." She walked over to Castiel with a small smile. It was not hard to feel the tension in the room between him and the red-head, but it was particularly evident to a room full of hunters.

Castiel wasn't very angry with Anna, mostly mad at himself and this village for what it put them both through. He didn't like that the redhead thought he may have only been dating her out of pity, but he didn't know how to prove that to her. He had gotten tired of trying to early on in their argument, and thus didn't try all that hard. After fighting so hard for everything else, he couldn't bring himself to fight for them. Not with Meg in the picture.

"Thank you, I made them from scratch with that recipe Kerai gave me." It'd been good to have something to focus on. Cas smiled slightly. "All of your food was delicious, though. Especially the pies."

Cas wondered if Mary remembered her time here when she had been aged down and pregnant.

Oh, she remembered. Mary remembered everything.

"Thanks." Mary smiled. "I like to bake and the men in this family like to eat, so it works out well otherwise I'd probably end up really fat." She chuckled a little.

"How are you doing?"
