Christmas was one of those times in which Mary looked forward to the most in the village. It had nothing to do with the peace that seemed to usually find its way in December, but rather, it meant the time of year in which all her family would gather today.
There was a real tree this year in the living room fully decked out with a star on top. Presents of all shapes, sizes, and colour were under it with the names of everyone who would be at the dinner although Sam and Dean had more and Ed definitely made out with the most this year.
For food, Mary made a large turkey and a medium size ham with all the fixings including sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. Dessert had five different flavours of cookies, a pumpkin pie, apple turnovers, and this year she made a
Peppermint cheesecake. No one would go hungry at the Winchesters today.
There was hot apple cider and egg nog to go along with the soft, classic Christmas music that was playing in the background.
(ooc: Gathering style. Forward dated to the 25th. Also a visit from Meg has been discussed.)
