Happy Halloween (Gathering Post)

Oct 31, 2013 20:43

The village was certainly in the spirit this year. There were Jack-O-Lanterns and fake cobweb on businesses and lamp posts. Pictures of spiders, ghosts, witches, and other scary Halloween pictures went up in windows and the colour scheme was definitely more orange and black than anything else ( Read more... )

Harry Dresden (birthday boy) - OTA drsmartass November 1 2013, 01:43:18 UTC
It was cliche, he could freely admit it, a wizard born on Halloween night. But, Harry also enjoyed the holiday. So he was dressed as - you guessed it- a cliche wizard, complete with pointed hat with stars and half moons on it.

He was currently by the bar, sampling the beer.

"Happy Birthday." Molly said as she approached Harry with a wide smile. "And nice touch with the costume. What? You didn't opt for long flowing white beard?"

Molly was dressed as a female Indiana Jones.

"Well I thought that would be over the top." Not that Harry hadn't considered it. "Nice outfit. I thought you would have gone for Lara Croft though." He meant because they were both stacked.

Molly wasn't fooled and pointed to her breasts. "Well I have the boobs for it but I thought this year I'd go less sexy." She grinned, "not that I didn't make Indiana Jones look sexy."

She wasn't much for costumes, really; nothing elaborate anyway. But a little black slip dress and a Mardi Gras mask was good enough, she thought, holding a glass of champagne, leaning against the bar. And at the very least, this was a good exercise in people-watching.

Sherlock wasn't much for costumes either but he was dressed as *gasp* a tattooed recovering addict. Yeah, it wasn't much of a stretch. He spotted Joan easily and made his way over.

"Have you spotted anyone interesting?"

"As a matter of fact," Joan said, nodding toward a tall man in a cape. "That looks remarkably comfortable." Like it wasn't a costume.

Sherlock looked over to where Joan indicated and nodded. "He seems very comfortable in his own skin." Not unlike Sherlock. "There's a nice crowd this evening." Plenty of fodder for people watching.

Zoe - OTA drhartdixie November 1 2013, 01:48:13 UTC
Zoe was dressed as Cleopatra and making her way through the group of people looking for familiar faces but also stopping to compliment people on their costumes. This was one of her favorite times of the year and there was a little bittersweet twist wondering what the good people of Bluebell were doing.

So busy gawking that he nearly ran into her, Frank staggered back with a stammered, "sorry!"

Then he realized that he knew her. Huh. He gave a tentative smile. "Hey."

Zoe turned her head around at the voice and smiled when she recognized him. "Hey you. How do you like Haurvatat's idea of Halloween?"

"It's wild," Frank had to admit. "I have a friend," he said, thinking of Phyllis (aka Phil) "who would love this. You look great, though."

Nothing said weird like a Halloween party in an intergalactic village. Frank didn't dress up, but he figured he could at least have a beer and see what kind of costumes people showed up in, right?

He carried his mug away from the bar and found a wall to hold up.

Elle didn't know much about Batman, but that didn't stop her from dressing like Harley Quinn for Halloween. And with these heels she felt tall, it was awesome!

She saddled up next to Frank when she saw him, shit-eating grin, brandishing her club, "So, are you going to get me a drink or am I going to have to spank you?"

"Oh, fuck," Frank said with equal parts amusement and embarrassment. "Sure, Elle. What'll it be."

She grinned at his reaction, leaning against the wall, "I'll take a rum and coke, please."

Look at all the happy celebrants. Frank N. Furter, his red velvet cape wrapped around himself, strode among the people in costumes, smiling.

Wasn't this fun? Perhaps he would find a fun toy to play with for the night.

Annatar smiled at the... on a normal day it would be an oddly dressed man.

"I didn't wear a costume either," he said, walking up. "I do like your cape."

Both his cape and Frank's were red velvet, though not the exact same shade.

Annatar is dressed as he arrived--black leggings, sky blue embroidered tunic, bright mithril and gold armour on chest, legs, and arms (with pearls, including black pearls). Longsword on his back and blood red velvet cape. He also wears a mithril circlet.

"Well, hello," Frank said, eyes narrowing in appreciation at the sight. "You look scrumptious as usual."

Annatar gave a low laugh.

"I know." He gave Frank a penetrating look. "And thank you."

This one seemed a bit like Vaisey: he knew what he wanted and went after it without any complaining about how hard things were.

"Why did you not choose a costume? I did not as my own clothes serve and I could find nothing that wasn't cheaply done. Or my size." There were vastly more costume choices for young people.
