Happy Halloween (Gathering Post)
The village was certainly in the spirit this year. There were Jack-O-Lanterns and fake cobweb on businesses and lamp posts. Pictures of spiders, ghosts, witches, and other scary Halloween pictures went up in windows and the colour scheme was definitely more orange and black than anything else.
Trick or treating started early and for the lazy ones could be had at the hotel with minimal effort.
Inside the hotel, the decorations looked professional. There were drinks and games and food of all sorts. The children had a more age-friendly room which allowed the adults to have their own space in the evening.
And if you were bored of that, you were urged to check out the haunted house at the theatre which had an 'insane asylum' theme. The actors were good and the blood almost looked real...
