Happy Halloween (Gathering Post)

The village was certainly in the spirit this year. There were Jack-O-Lanterns and fake cobweb on businesses and lamp posts. Pictures of spiders, ghosts, witches, and other scary Halloween pictures went up in windows and the colour scheme was definitely more orange and black than anything else

Nothing said weird like a Halloween party in an intergalactic village. Frank didn't dress up, but he figured he could at least have a beer and see what kind of costumes people showed up in, right?

He carried his mug away from the bar and found a wall to hold up.

Elle didn't know much about Batman, but that didn't stop her from dressing like Harley Quinn for Halloween. And with these heels she felt tall, it was awesome!

She saddled up next to Frank when she saw him, shit-eating grin, brandishing her club, "So, are you going to get me a drink or am I going to have to spank you?"

"Oh, fuck," Frank said with equal parts amusement and embarrassment. "Sure, Elle. What'll it be."

She grinned at his reaction, leaning against the wall, "I'll take a rum and coke, please."

"Coming up," he said, making his way to the bar to get her drink and another beer for himself.

He returned a few minutes later, handing her over her glass. "Nice costume."

She took the glass, giving her best curtsy, "Thank you. So why didn't you dress up, party pooper?"

"I was just going to get something eat and saw the party; I don't know," he admitted. "I figured I'd walk through, then go."

"Boo." she said, pouting disapprovingly as she nudged him with her shoulder. "Not into Halloween?"

"When you've got my brother and all he does is torment you in any way he can, including a ridiculous amount of superglue at all the wrong times, you don't learn not to take unnecessary risks," he answered with a sigh.

"I don't have a brother." she shrugged, "Did you ever try supergluing him back?"

That's what she would have done. Gotten revenge.

"It's complicated," Frank said. Not worth going into because Bruce wasn't here. "So. Who are you supposed to be?"

"Harley Quinn. She's a Batman villain or something?" she looked down at herself and shrugged, "I just liked the outfit."

She lifted the bat, "And this."

"I'm not surprised," he joked. "I mean, you use weird sex-gas and stuff."

Elle snickered a bit at that, "You didn't seem to be complaining at the time..."

"I was totally complaining," he reminded her. "I mean ... anyway." It didn't matter. He'd gotten some good writing done when he wasn't so ... well, pent up. "How's your boyfriend? I saw him here." Somewhere.

"Oh-" Elle had somewhat of a selective memory, "Well, you were complaining because you're stupid."

She looked around, seeing the other Frank across the way, perusing the crowd, "He's not my boyfriend. I've told you that." Even if she wanted it, silently, "And he's fine. Busy with his work though."
