Role Reversals are Fun (Dual pup, OTA, tag esp anyone wanting to get nommed on a bit)

Elijah had slept most of the day, waking near sundown, which was highly unusual for him. He missed class, but he found he...didn't really care. Mostly, he was hungry. There was blood in the fridge and he knew where to find a human or two who didn't mind being snacks, but...that didn't really appeal. He was hungry. He wanted to hunt, wanted the ( Read more... )

She was still wondering about, mind half lost in her thoughts, so badly still that she nearly ran into Elijah. Confused by him for a second she blinked, given how completely agitated and frustrated her mood was, she frowned for a second. Then remember how well getting angry with someone for simply being in each other's way was with that fellow Sonya knew.

Instead she just stepped back, inclined her head to him in greeting. "Pardon my distraction, sir."

Elijah might have been surprised to see her, save that Damon had mentioned meeting her. Even so, it was mildly disorienting for a moment, a figure stepping out of a past he'd long since left behind.

He stepped back as well and executed a little bow on instinct. "Of course, Your Majesty." His gaze raked over her, a little speculative. Never before would it even have occurred to him to think of preying on a monarch, but he wasn't thinking so clearly tonight.

She paused then, ah, another one that knew her.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?"

She was a little too locked in her own selfish desires to notice how he looked at her, for how much she was looking back. Another handsome one, or so she thought to herself. Perhaps she could sate herself just with looking.

Elijah chuckled slightly. "You ran into me," he pointed out, lips curving in a bit of a wicked smirk. "So, perhaps providence which threw us in each others' paths."

Melissa felt shiny and it was great. She had been fighting for her cravings for so long but what was the point? It felt good and she had no one to answer to, really. So she was currently flying high on Devil's Spirit, smiling to herself as she danced closely with some guy she didn't know. Not that she was planning on dancing for long because already she was thirsty again.

"Be right back." She grinned, sliding away from the guy who flashed her a disappointed scowl but she didn't even notice.

Working her way over to the bar, she waved at the woman to order herself a couple more shots. She was wishing that Faye had come out but she couldn't even remember if she had invited her new/old friend or not.

Letting out a little cheer which got her a few cheers in response, she grabbed her first shot and tossed it back before reaching for the other with a shiver.

Elijah had been watching the room for a while, getting a feel for the place. For once, he'd given in and had been dancing, but mostly because that was the best place to get close to some of the girls--and the boys.

He noticed Melissa halfway watching her dance, but when she brushed by him on her way back to the bar, his attention was fully caught. Witch. ...And for some reason she smelled a bit like Faye.

Some part of his brain processed that Faye had mentioned a new roommate, but he wasn't really paying attention to any part of his brain right now.

Instead, he just decided she smelled good, right, and moved after her, sliding up to the bar casually and leaning against it as he gave her a smile.

"Having fun?"

Melissa paused in taking her shot as the guy materialized at her side, distracting her for a moment as she blinked to focus on him. Okay, wow, he was really kind of seriously hot.

Flashing him a little smirk, she angled her body towards him, tilting her head to the side as she nodded. "Yeah, so far. It could get better though."

Oh, good. She wanted to play. That did make things so much easier and more pleasant all around.

"Things can always get better," he agreed with a smile. "I'm fairly certain my night just did."

Rebekah felt lazy, almost sleepy. It took forever to drag herself from bed and even now there wasn't much that she wanted to do. She didn't even bother changing from her pajama shorts and tank top as she leaned against Damon's door, knocking lightly.

She was hoping he was home because all she wanted to do was curl up and use him as a pillow at the moment. She would have used Elijah but he had disappeared somewhere and she had no idea where. She couldn't even bring up the energy to text him at the moment. Maybe Damon would do it.

Damon was somewhat lost in his book when the knock came, but he got up to move to the door, book still in his hand, as he opened it.

He smiled when he saw Rebekah, pleased she'd come by and stepped back.

"Hello, sweetheart."

"Hi." Rebekah smiled warmly at the sight of Damon, slipping into his room.

Almost instantly she went straight for his couch, yawning a bit as she flopped down. "Tried to find Elijah but he was gone." She waited to see if he was going to sit down with her. If and once he did, she instantly curled up against his side, her head going to his shoulder. Apparently she was lazy and wanting cuddles at the moment.

Damon settled back on the sofa, and wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. Brushing his lips over her forehead, he gave her a little smile. "Do you want anything? I made tea..."

Both her room and P3 had seemed a little too closed in for Phoebe's comfort.

In fact, a lot of things were seeming a bit too restrictive or constrictive for her today -- including her closing.

She found something a little more fitting of her mood and brushed her hair before she headed outside. Maybe a walk would clear her head or find something for her to pay more attention to.

Elijah was leaning against a building, watching people as they walked. Anyone would do, of course, but he liked to think he was occasionally more particular than that.

He caught sight of Phoebe as she walked by and smirked a little. He knew who she was from Damon, and knew she was a witch. He was terribly fond of witch-blood, come to think of it.

Pushing to a stand, he followed her, watching her consideringly.

Phoebe felt that someone was behind her, but since she was out to find something -- or someone -- she wasn't particularly worried. After a few moments, she turned her head to look behind her and gave a small smile when she spotted him.

She came to a stop and turned around to get a better look at the person behind her.

Elijah noted her watching him, and smiled a little bit when she turned.

"Good evening."

Klaus had been out enough that day to notice that there was something off with people. There were more raised voices, more confusion and tension than there generally was in the calm of the village. He didn't know any of the people he saw and heard talking, so he couldn't judge for himself is there was really anything wrong. But, it was a trend, and trends in the village were never good things.

Of course, people weren't exploding or fighting one another; zombies or whatever hadn't appeared, but...he'd been worried about Faye and checked up on her. Elijah and Rebekah? Well, he could track them down to see if they were...okay: but if they weren't, certainly he'd of heard about it? Maybe. Who really knew.

He spotted Elijah on the street and his brother's overall appearance had him...nervous. It was weird, being nervous about Elijah, but maybe he's just decided to loosen up a little? Moving toward him, Klaus started speaking before he reached him. "What brings you out tonight, lingering in the streets, brother?"

Elijah glanced up when he heard Klaus, and gave him a bit of a once over, speculation lighting his eyes.

One shoulder shrugged under the black t-shirt, though when he smiled a touch of predatory darkness lingered in his eyes.

"Fangtasia isn't open, yet. And I was...searching for dinner. Care to join me?"

Klaus, at least, knew how to have fun.

Klaus took a careful, half-step toward Elijah. He eyed him warily, foreign as it felt to be concerned, somewhat cautious. Neither of them had ever been saints, by any manner of the word, but Elijah was...well, Klaus was fairly certain he opted to be better than a reckless monster. It had been a very long time since he'd seen such a degree of hunger and predatory instinct in his brother's expression.

Of course, he also felt a flicker of wanting to go along with Elijah, because how could be turn down hunting with his older brother? But, his chest tightened a little at the thought of how he wasn't supposed to be wanting to do that. It was difficult, feeling enabled to spring back into second-nature, but something holding him back. Knowing that there was something off with some of the people in town added to his hesitancy too.

"I thought you were drinking from blood bags rather than people," he stated with a tone of question, looking Elijah over.

Elijah waited, somewhat impatiently, as Klaus debated, barely refraining from tapping his foot or something.

He made a face at the question. "Hardly. I mean, supplementing, of course, but...I don't have a girlfriend who freaks out at the idea of me drinking from people."

The slight mocking there? So really not Elijah's normal reaction to things.
