Nathan had heard about this from Buffy. He'd seen the message of course but hadn't known what it meant. Whoever he was 'partnered' with needed to know that he couldn't feel and that was one of the reasons why he hadn't become a cop here. He didn't like people knowing that about him, but Buffy had nagged convinced him to just sit in on it. So he was here.
The man looked uncomfortable to be here, but he wasn't the only one. Declan had been in the village for long enough to recognise that some people had never necessarily interacted with others in a situation like this, but were willing to try. And that's all he wanted - people willing to try.
"Hello, I'm Declan MacRae, organiser of this little gathering. Welcome."
"Nathan Wuornos." He introduced himself. "Buffy told me about it." He gestured over to where she stood. "I'm a cop back in Maine so I thought I'd come check it out."
Declan glanced over at Buffy. He'd seen her around, but never actually spoken to her. "Have you been used to any of the weirder stuff in this village?"

Ruby wanted to help as much as she could. She wasn't prepared to let anyone know that she was a werewolf but she could still help out. Learning self defense and archery at the dojo was making her skills from back home become sharper. She was a lot stronger and faster than she looked.
Ruby nodded, "I have but I'm not sure exactly what you need. I mean, I can shoot a bow and arrow but I'm not as strong as some. But I am stronger than I look." She held out her hand, "I'm Ruby but most people call me Red."
Declan shook her hand in return. "I'm Declan. Welcome Red, nice to meet you." He nodded at her. "I take it your from a world that isn't used to the armaments that are common here?"
So this was the group Elphaba raved about being a member of. Glinda was dressed to blend in, and largely did. She clandestinely watched the people roaming around, smiling as she made contact. Her bright red hair didn't seem to draw much attention, a fact she was grateful for.
Since Molly usually sported green, pink or blue hair seeing red didn't even register. Her own tresses were white blonde which one would think was a dye but was actually natural (with only a little help). She approached the woman with a smile. "Hi, you look about as lost as me. Here to learn more about it, too?"
ooc: Molly has a tattoo of a snake that starts on her neck and curves around her body. She also has a tongue stud and swirling tattoo on her arm that Glinda would be able to see with her short sleeve shirt. :)
"Hi! Yes, I am a bit curious myself. My fiance is a member of this guard. I couldn't resist the opportunity to learn more," Glinda said, noticing the artwork, "If I may ask, what is that?" She said, looking at the artwork.
"Oh are they here?" Molly glanced around wondering which one was her fiance and then glanced down at her arm and the swirls. "It's a Maori tattoo." Her hand came up to her neck, "unless you mean this snake. This was my shout out to Lilith. You know girl power and all that."

John looked around for Carlos, and gave an upnod of greeting to other people he knew. He felt rather guiltily pleased that he'd found someone to take over the administration of it.
He wanted to bring up the communication issue though, and suggest semaphore as a possible work around. The more work arounds the better.
Carlos spotted John - it was hard not to, the man was recognizable, after all. He smiled as he sauntered over to him. "So, you finally got rid of the responsibility, then?" he joked. "Good call."
Molly wasn't sure exactly what she could do since her magic was more defensive than not but there was no way she wouldn't help out where she could. So when the message came out about the Guard, she showed up. She spotted Harry easily, which wasn't difficult since he was tall and so was she, and waved.
She was also on the look out for Carlos and others that she might know. Molly definitely stood out at close to six feet with tattoos and piercings.

"If you're thinking of joining one of the combat units-you may want to reconsider the piercings." On herself, Sonya mimed one of them being torn out. It was one of the reasons she was against Ren getting a nose ring awhile back, besides the fact that her skin wouldn't allow for a needle to go through.
The height, tattoos and over all rest of the girl's appearance didn't really phase her. Her own height was just an inch or two shorter than Molly and given her sister and her sister's boyfriend-frankly it was all old news.
Molly laughed, "oh yeah I learned that lesson a long time ago. The piercings leave when I go to battle." She motioned to where Harry Dresden was standing. "He made me take out my piercings until all I had was my nose ring and tongue stud when I was seventeen."
Sonya turned to where she was pointing. "I would too...course, I wouldn't even include the nose or tongue ring."
The irony of being a military woman was that she was still used to military standards-one of those being that body piercings were only alright if they remained covered, and only at the person's discretion.

"Told ya, it'd be hard to get rid of me. I had an idea, if you want to hear it."
