I looooove River, I don't know why but I soooo love her. I felt the episode was a bit boring here and there but I did like the whole beginning and flirtiness of River/Doctor and the shock of Amy's pregnancy. IDEK what's going on with that. I am always the last to know what the hell happens until the end of the season. I get confused. I will watch it again though just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I really disliked her until last night's episode, but I know the majority of the fandom is Pro River, I also can't ship River and the Doctor because we've got no idea who River is. Amy's pregnancy...I don't know...is she pregnant? I noticed that River protected Amy's stomach as if she knew, but then part of me thinks it may be a ploy. I think I may watch again also.

I am with you - why does everyone say that the aliens are the Silence? I keep seeing this and it is NEWS TO ME. Did I miss something ( ... )

So apparently, the aliens were labeled as the Silence by the BBC or something, I found something online yesterday that said Meet the Silence and the aliens were in the picture. I honestly never expected the Silence to be an alien race.

I did try and like RIver many times, but then there were so many things that just kept bugging me about her, like with the TARDIS driving and the thing with the Daleks was the last straw, she was just too awesome you know? But I really saw a more vulnerable side to her in last night's episode and I do hope we see more character growth from her.

I never thought pregnant with Amy getting sick, I just imagined it was a side effect of the aliens, it's confusing, which is something that I like and don't like about Moffatt, his repetitiveness and insistance on making EVERYTHING confusing aggravates the piss out of me, even though it makes for a good plotline.

I just kept thinking omg Crowley but his gravelly American accent was nice, it was very...noir.

Yeah, okay, I just saw this which clears that up. I really didn't expect them to be aliens either, IDK.

MOFFAT WHY DO YOU TOY WITH US.

I have a serious nerd crush on Mark Sheppard, since he's like a go-to science fiction actor and has been on Firefly, BSG, Dollhouse, Warehouse 13, SPN, etc etc etc. I love him.

I am super confused about the space man. I don't know that the Doctor would have killed his future self, because like River said, if they managed to undo that event, then they would no longer go back in time to investigate, and blah blah paradox.

I WOULD like to say that I think there is no way Amy shot that little girl. Her hand was flailing around and she was screaming when she pulled the trigger, I'm pretty sure she missed. She's kind of gone nutbars though, and again, it's nice to see such a flawless character fuck up or show some vulnerability. HUM HUM.

SIX MORE DAYS.

By the way, what are your thoughts on the Space Man? I think The Doctor sent himself as The Spaceman to kill him so that Amy and Co could investigate The Silence, and I think it was the bearded Doctor who we see chained up in the previews who did it. What do you think?

Yes agreed, her SPOILERS catch phrase is a bit obnoxious, I just think she was a lot less smug and cocky this time around and it explains her first meeting a bit better for me, although her timeline still confuses me and there are somethings about her that I don't like, I found her a lot better this time around.

I downloaded it so I wouldn't have to deal with commercials. But I just realized I won't be able to watch it until I come back on Monday so that makes me sad.

I'm confused, too, but I do think those aliens are what the Silence is (they didn't have any mouths, except for when they were being REALLY FUCKING SCARY).

River \o/ I've loved her from go, though, but that's just me... Her saying that the Doctor not recognizing her would kill was deadly to me D:

Do you want me to share my speculation on the astronaut? Some people don't like speculations.

Yeah I went asking around and apparently they were labeled as the Silence by the BBC or something before the premiere, I don't know I didn't expect for it to be revealed like that and I didn't expect for the Silence to be an alien race, but yes they were terrifying..

The majority of the fandom is Pro River, I think I am warming up to her.

Please do share your speculation. The more I think about it the more things I come up with, so now I am thinking the space man is the future(bearded) doctor we see in the preview, or River, but I am leaning more towards the Doctor.

But share yours!

When I first saw the spaceman, I definitely assumed it was the Doctor, but in retrospect, I think this is when River kills that good man... Especially now that we've seen a little girl behind the visor and River said she met the Doctor when she was rather impressionable (which would mean they meet in EXACTLY the wrong order - death to death). But, I'm terribly confused, so I won't know much of anything until the next episode :P

That is a good theory, although what I don't get is 1, how can such a little girl walk in that space suit, they are designed for men who are tall with a good amount of weight and 2, if it is River and she killed the Doctor in 2011 why is she in jail in the 52nd century.

I don't know, Rivers timeline is incredibly confusing to me. Because she hints that they travelled together but the way she makes it out to be they always meet out of order which means he always leaves and I don't know...too confusing.
