Award shows are nothing but politics
Well, the big award shows. The little ones that magazines and niche groups do... They're more about real recognition from your peers and your fans.

Write. Record. Interview. Photo op. Write more. Scrap everything. Write more. Record. Scrap 80%. Write. Rehearse. Interview about "how we're keeping busy while not on tour." Inevitably piss someone off. Apologize. Business meeting. Write. Photo op. Phone interview.

Well, I have a few months to prepare
I got a call this morning from our manager. He said that there was another act on the label that was going to be touring the same time we were so for a few dates they were going to be put on the bill with us. Sure thing. Whatever. They do it all the time. Why the hell do I need a call at 7am about dates for the tour in May?
