Uhm.. I think that's because of the cards. They end up doing weird things, or so i've been told.

Yeah. When I got here, America was turned into a girl because of one.

A cat? [Pause.] Well, I can't say a cat specifically but there's these cards that tend to do things.

For example one turned someone I know into a plushie; a doll. Another, well... [[Light laugh.] Changed his gender into a girl, with another time turning him ten years younger. So, I can't say it's uncommon. Usually what happens is after some time they just turn back, she'll probably be back to her regular self within a few days.

...... [too much. but he's getting info so he'll bear it. just remember it's all for Celty's sake......

anyway, from the parts he did actually listen to, he'll be looking at the guy skeptically]

....So how does someone find one of these card things?

Someone recently told me of cards here that can do strange things - she was turned from a young girl into a woman roughly a decade older or so.

That is what I was told. There is evidently some sort of sorcery involved if such a thing is possible but she also said to contact the Inspector or someone named Rene although I have never heard of the latter.

but on the other hand, he doesn't really have much else to go off of and it was already obvious the logic of this world wasn't going to be same from his. not that that helped his temper any.
