Hello, I'm new to this community. I thought group of people here was cool so I thought why not? Well I'll be honest I am kind of surprised Dragon Ball Z characters are not talked about often here being that DBZ fandom is known to be quite full of bashing. I always think it's dumb to hate on a pairing just because one half of it is less attractive than the other half. I mean, damn. Krillin's a good guy and a bit of a dork, but that's what makes him so likable, and it is nice that he falls in love with such a strong woman and wants her to be happy. I love that. Now, I don't mind a bit of alt. shipping here and there myself, because "what if" is always fun, but I would hardly think any of the Saiyans are more "worthy" of Eighteen's love than Krillin. If anything they seem more concerned with kicking ass than falling in love and having a family, at least for most of the series. Nah, I think Krillin is plenty worthy of Eighteen. :)

Yeah I know right? There defitnetly nothing wrong with people with different levels of attractiveness to fall in love. Though I think I know why people take issue with k/18, its not like Goku and Chi-Chi or Bulma and Vegeta or even Gohan and Videl (Though for some strange reason people put Videl down too, for being stupid?) where the lovers are equally hot. People have a tendency to think that if the two aren't hot it can't be a good relationship because its not a hot relationship. A lot of fics that show G/CC, G/V, B/V as well as any relationship with a saiyan involved are at least somewhat sexual in nature. And apparantly no one thinks Krillin is fitting in that kind of relationship being who he is and 18 is apparantly more fitting because of who she is thus they feel they need to "correct" this by splitting the two up and putting 18 with a "hot" saiyan.

I think Eighteen would get more satisfaction out of punching a "hot" Saiyan in the face at the end of the day. Plus, Saiyans have an amazing track record of being terrible husbands at times, Goku most of all, given their greatest love is fighting and being the best ever. At fighting. Ugh, but anyway. They can't help it, but hell. If Eighteen wants some real love she'd find that best with Krillin if you ask me.

I've always noticed how many of these Krillin haters always say that "18 can do much better" or call Krillin a "bald freak." The sad part is that is that if the Saiyans didn't become so overwhelmingly powerful and the human characters (including Tien and Chioutzu) were given oppurtunities to win some of the fights then Krillin wouldn't be so pounded because in DBZ fandom those who regular badasses (like the Saiyans, Piccolo, and 18 herself) are always rooted for. Krillin is sometimes put down because of his poor track record and therefore it is that which k/18 haters usually use as a reason why Krillin isn't worthy.

Poor Yamcha.... The guy defitnetly gets it a lot worse than Krillin. I mean people bash him just because he lacks super-badassery. The guy loses Bulma to someone somewhat responsible for his death. People bash Yamcha just because of this as well saying that just one scene of him flirting with Krillin's former non-canon girlfriend and they assume that he is some cheater even though Bulma has hit on other guys in their relationship in canon.

I didn't think I had anything to add, other than agree that Krillin is awesome and a good person, and I find him far more loveable than characters more traditionally good-looking... but then it occurred to me that Krillin won the most difficult battle in the entire series.

Krillin defeated Bacterian.
