So yeah, I was going through tumblr and checking on stuff, and I got to thius Hinata defense. Ar first sight it's a nice one, dedicated to dispell the fanon about her, and seems to be pretty genuine.

And then I read it again... and after a second reading, I was REALLY uncomfortable.

slutshaming, bashers suck, "real women never wear dresses!!", character a vs. character b, "you're not allowed to live it down!", crying "sexual = slut", "stop having a vagina!!", hypocrisy, bashed characters

Yeah, I don't get this either--Hinata is awesome enough without having to be used as a measuring stick for the others.

Also, as someone with D-cups? Fuck off, slut-shamer. Maybe I just want to wear clothing that doesn't make me look like I'm wearing a tent (i.e. everything a non-Vneck shirt does to me without being form-fitting.), or maybe I prefer wearing a neckline that doesn't crowd close to my neck. My clothing choices are made for ME, not anyone else. Be grateful I'm not slapping you in the face with my titties and be on your way! >:\

I'm a big-titted woman too and I agree with this. G-d forbid I wear clothes that are flattering or anything. I have boobs, I'm not shoving them in people's faces, but why shouldn't I wear stuff that works for me?

I hate this too. It is possible to defend Hinata without going on about what WHORES Ino and Sakura are for fancing Sasuke (yes, TV Tropes, I'm looking at you) or bashing the other girls for revealing clothing. Ino and Tsunade are confident about their bodies, their clothing reflects this. Hinata, presumably, dresses the way she does because she isn't confident. That and her team all wear big coats.

Hinata, Ino and Sakura are all teenage girls. They do normal teenage girl things like having crushes and going on diets and eating cake and hanging out with their friends. Just because Hinata's a bit quieter about her crush and Ino and Sakura are louder about theirs doesn't make any of them bad people.

That's what always gets me about the "Hinata is a good person because she dresses modestly" argument (aside from the slut-shaming, I mean). Hinata isn't a modest dresser because it's what works for her; she's a modest dresser because it suits her image as a shy character. And, yes, because she's a member of Team Unflattering Jacket.

Not to say, of course, that people can't be confident with themselves and their bodies and prefer to dress modestly, or that a confident Hinata would necessarily start showing more skin. But this whole "aww, she's uncomfortable showing off her body, JUST AS A PROPER WOMAN SHOULD BE" silliness was old the moment it was birthed.

As a big Hinata fan, it always saddens me to see stuff like that. If you love her, you love her for what she is, not for how she is so much better than the others, who are all sluts and/or useless. Seriously...
Bashing another character is never the way to defend your own favourite, never. Way to give a bad name to Hinata/NaruHina fans >_>
