So very happy you feel that way. That was my goal. I feel there's enough angst in the world. Sometimes we need a reminder that sweetness and light exists, too, all around us, and is something to be treasured.
What a lovely ending! (and has the perfect flavor of a beginning in there as well.) I feel happy and satisfied ... like I've just finished Thanksgiving dinner. Everybody safe and lots of babies to spoil cuddle!
There's so much in this chapter and I know I'm going to leave out more than half of what I'd like to say about it since I was indeed a greedy little pig and didn't take any notes as I read. But must mention Tom (how big he's grown in two years!) and Annie and their renewed friendship; Weatherby's enjoyment of his young friend; the treehouse(!!); Jack's brushing Harry's hair (mmmmm...).
Something I've noticed (again) while reading the last few chapters is how true you keep Jack and the rest of the canon characters. Afraid I'm not going to say this very well, but what I mean is that here's our lovely pirate, you've married him off, given him a(n oh my god!) valet, made him a father, and yet the way words come out of his mouth, the way he moves and reacts is always so right. Same way with Norrington, and Will, and Elizabeth

You finished!! So happy you enjoyed the ending. I wanted to wrap this one up more neatly than I did with Norrington's Choice, so I made sure I tied up all the loose ends and left everything in a good spot. There's always room for the occasional short story, of course

Beautiful, beautiful. Jack's favorite word. ;-) I agree that this does feel like The End, though... a good place to leave this lovely universe, and there's enough substance contained within it to return to time and again. And enough hints of untold adventures for you to tell at a future time, should the desire take you

Thanks so much! It was a little different in tone than the others, which made it even more fun to write, really. I'm so happy you enjoyed the story.
I'm glad you thought Jack remained Jackish throughout, too. He's the reason I started these stories, after all. I tried to keep in mind that, if his whole Harryverse fell apart, he'd still be Jack, and would still carry on, drunk on life and freedom. He's seen a lot, been through a lot, by the time he meets Harry. She's just frosting on his cake, really.
Thank you again for reading, and for all the wonderful comments. I truly appreciate you taking the time to do that.
