I got a text from jenlynnmd this morning and jdbryce has landed in Kuwait. Woo Hoo! He is out of Iraq!! That means we will see him sometime over the holidays. Since he left out of beautiful downtown Ft Hood, TX, he will fly back there first then arrange to fly home to MD. Spent all day yesterday at a Medieval Yule. Fun people, food and crafting (lace for me, of course). Sang for fun, and for dinner! I didn't stay for feast (it was pre-registered only, and I wasn't sure where I would be regarding a special food plan I was on, so I didn't pre-register for it). My company left a little while ago. bkdelong with kids spent the holiday with me. We spent some time together as well as going to the Muppet Movie, and to their great-grandparents both Thursday and Friday.

That is a big stump!

Some indoor clean-up, then outdoors for yard work. 2 barrels of tree and bush limbs broken by the storm 2 weeks ago. My large bayberry bush lost its central leader. I used my riding lawnmower with the new battery (thanks to N8 for installing it) to get the leaves ( Read more... )

Spent Friday evening in the ER with my father. His L foot and shin are all red & swollen. It was red and painful on Monday, but his MD thought it might be gout. Unfortunately, when he found out that it wasn't gout, he didn't react aggressively enough.
