Squeee! I won tickets for a prescreening of Zombieland tomorrow night. No shit. I never win anything and didn't think I'd get through to the operators but hot damn, I did.

Days like today are what make my job worth it. Today was Dan Aykroyd's vodka signing. He's now a distiller and markets Crystal Head vodka. The bottle is shaped like a skull. This weekend was a Connecticut trip. The drive out there was slow because of the storm. Took us about 8 hours to get there. It also rained all day Saturday but it didn't ruin the mini vaca. I brought back some wine (Monkey's Paw) for my mom at an adorable little wine store that offered samples of their wines, which is how I settled on the Monkey ( Read more... )

As of today it looks like we will be going to the 2009 Flower Show at the Convention Center on Saturday. The theme is Bella Italia and for the first time the PLCB will be selling wine and offering samples. I didn't get tickets cause supposedly all I need to do is show my work ID and they'll let me in with a guest. I hope that it works. This ( Read more... )

Tomorrow is the last holiday from work I get for a while. I took off for my birthday in March but might end up taking a few days instead of just one. My sister's birthday is Tuesday so tomorrow we are meeting for a birthday lunch. All of us are off tomorrow so it's a perfect day for it.

I love Mondays off.
