dwarf freaking out?

The easiest way for me, when I want to know the sex, is putting them in a clear tubing or an exercise ball..but the trick is getting them in!
I'd assume he's probably itching due to dry skin, or something of that matter. I can't really think of any remedies for that. Your guy sounds like my dwarf, which is semi-unpredictable. I try to get mine to associate me with good things, such as giving them treats and whatnot. Maybe the itching could be a nervous habit? I don't think you should be too worried, just keep an eye out if he starts to bald or you notice problems with his skin.

mine scratches the inside of her tubes obsessively, we still haven't figured out how to get her to quit...and I'm not sure we can...lol.
