We're in the Landmark Tower, in an okonomiyaki restaurant called Botejyu. The menu is entirely in Japanese, and our waiter didn't speak English, but with my tiny bit of Japanese and my printed sheet of vegetarian phrases I think I managed to order something I can eat. We'll see ( Read more... )

Hooray for Somerville Open Studios and a weekend full of art viewing. I saw and enjoyed the work of n0ire and miss_chance. Dayenu. But not only did I see and enjoy the work of my friends, I saw some of my usual favorites, like Hilary Scott, M.L. van Nice, Jill Hoy, Parrish Dobson, and the artists at Mixit Studios...dayenu. Last night I attended the opening night performance of You Can't Take It With You. trowa_barton is playing the role of Tony Kirby, and probably about 2/3 of the rest of the cast and the crew are people I call friends.
