Holy CRAP last night was freezing! And I awoke in the middle of it to pee again. Argh! Getting out of bed in the cold, wet dark was torture, too. We took hot showers to warm up and then attempted to shove all our stuff in our duffles (funny how it's harder to get everything back in...how'd we get it in there in the first place?), ( Read more... )

I've been enjoying reading about this experience. I'm glad it ended on such a positive note, despite the pain.

Thanks, I'm glad you are enjoying it. :) It was worth it, despite the pain; also, I couldn't help thinking of what my cousin, sister-in-law, and so many others have endured in the course of treatment. It seemed like a token amount of suffering in comparison.

Thank you! As hard as it sometimes was, I was more amazed by the guy I saw who walked on a crutch and a bum knee the whole way, a few women wearing their small babies in slings and such, and more. I think it inspires people to push their limits.
