Cocoon [3/?]
Kyuhyun/girl!Sungmin, Heechul; PG-15; 6182 words; chaptered
Sungmin knew her best friend had a younger brother, she just didn't know anything about him.
a/n: perhaps when I said the next part would be rated R I was speaking prematurely... I thought it seemed ~racier~ than it really is, because the intimacy is kind of sudden. Idk, I apologize if I misinformed you and I hope you aren't disappointed~

Sungmin left the bathroom some ten minutes later with marked reluctance. The safety and solitude of the small space would be traded for the unfamiliar and confusing presence of Heechul's younger brother in her bedroom, where Sungmin felt strange and unsteady on her own two feet. She couldn't remember Heechul ever saying much about him other than he was a geek who loved games; she didn't even know his name, or how old he was. And yet his presence was unsettling. Something about him made her feel vulnerable, but not at all like the fear and discomfort she felt around the guys who confessed to her every other day.
'What you need is a skinny boyfriend who can't throw you around like all these big, dumb jocks that keep coming onto you, then I won't have to worry so much.'
Sungmin felt a tremor run through her body as she remembered Heechul's words from just a few hours ago. She was sure that Heechul didn't have her own brother in mind when she'd said that, but Sungmin couldn't help herself from playing the words over and over in her mind, and remembering how dark Kyuhyun's eyes were when he focused on her.
When she pushed open Heechul's bedroom door, she stopped short and bit her lip, before a smile broke out on her face. Heechul had rolled over onto her other side, away from the wall, and her brother sat with his back against her headboard, legs crossed, his fingers stroking through her long blond hair gently as he looked down at her sleeping face. Sungmin noticed the dark circles under his eyes, remembering his shocked expression when she walked in on him earlier, and thought he looked incredibly tired.
"Hey," Sungmin whispered quietly, and his head snapped around to look at her. She smiled sympathetically and slipped into the room, feeling slightly refreshed from cleaning up but still unbalanced by the boy's piercing stare. "You look exhausted," she murmured and climbed up onto the bed where his feet were crossed by Heechul's hip. "I can stay up with her if you think she'll get sick again," she offered.
He stared at her silently for long enough that Sungmin started to feel self-conscious and worry that she'd said something to offend him. Heechul sighed and rolled back over to face the wall. Then the boy spoke up and it was Sungmin's turn to stare silently.
"You look tired, too," he said hoarsely, dark eyes moving back and forth between her own. Sungmin regarded him quietly as he did her, the only sound the muted buzzing of summer insects outside, and the quiet hum of the ceiling fan.
"What's your name?" Sungmin asked, voice soft, feathering across the space between them.
"Kyuhyun," the boy replied without delay.
Sungmin smiled at him then, feeling her heart beating too quickly in her chest, quicker yet when Kyuhyun's mouth opened and his lower lip trembled because she'd begun to crawl forward.
"Lay down, Kyuhyun-ah," Sungmin whispered, smiling playfully when Kyuhyun's eyes widened comically. He didn't ask questions, or even shoot a terrified look to his sister, who continued to sleep soundly. Instead he just squirmed down to lie on the bed, thin body shivering only slightly as Sungmin crawled into the space between him and his sister. When she leaned over him to reach for the lamp, his lips parted in a silent gasp, and Sungmin laughed quietly, turning out the light.
Darkness engulfed the bedroom and Sungmin was hyper aware of the heat coming from Kyuhyun's body. When her hand fell away from the lamp, it ghosted over his ribs, and she could feel him shiver.
"Sorry," she whispered teasingly, and shifted to lie down comfortably. Sungmin could hear Heechul's quiet, deep breathing. She could hear her own heartbeat thumping in her chest, slightly erratic. She could hear Kyuhyun's heavy, trembling breaths. She could feel his warm skin, their arms touching slightly. When her eyes finally started to adjust to the darkness and the moonlight crept in through the open blinds, she turned her head to see Kyuhyun staring at her, chest moving up and down at an unsteady pace. Sungmin grinned and turned onto her side, feeling daring in the dark. Her chest pressed against Kyuhyun's thin arm but she told herself the bed was too crowded for modesty. Something about the night had always made her feel less inhibited, like she could do anything without consequence, without the harsh reality of daylight exposing her indiscretions. Maybe it was because it was usually the only time she was finally out from under the scrutiny of others.
"You're a good brother to Heechul-ah," she whispered, slipping her hands underneath her head, palm to palm.
"I'm not usually," Kyuhyun admitted shamelessly, voice shaking as he shifted his arm slightly against Sungmin's breast. "S-sorry," he stuttered, but no matter how he moved his arm to get away, it continued to brush against her in the confined space.
Sungmin laughed quietly, covering her mouth with her hand, not wanting to wake Heechul.
"It's okay," she whispered with a muffled giggle and stilled his arm, clasping her fingers around his bicep. "Let's sleep, okay?" She suggested, noticing the bedside clock. It was 3:14 in the morning. Kyuhyun's muscles jumped under her hand.
"Together?" He croaked, his dark eyes widening and reflecting the moonlight.
"Yeah," Sungmin murmured sleepily, clutching Kyuhyun's arm like a plush toy she couldn't sleep without, eyes falling shut.
"B-but... Heechul..." Kyuhyun muttered, sounding nervous.
"I don't think she would mind," Sungmin whispered thoughtfully, her fingertips brushing along Kyuhyun's skinny arms, remembering what her best friend had said earlier that night.
"You can't be serious," Kyuhyun said, voice louder than a whisper now, scandalized. "Are we talking about the same Heechul-"
Sungmin silenced him, her fingertip pressed to his lips as she pushed herself up with her other arm. She hovered over Kyuhyun and grinned wickedly down at him when he gulped and swallowed, lips parting again under her fingertip.
"Hush, Kyu," she whispered throatily, cupping his face tenderly in her hand for a moment, then brushing his messy hair from his brow. "Unless you don't want to stay..." Even in the dark, even with the deep shadows under his eyes, Sungmin found herself attracted to Kyuhyun. That he was Heechul's younger brother didn't have any effect on her body's desire to be close to him, or her heart's need to beat a time and a half faster than it ought to.
Kyuhyun didn't try to pull away, or leave, and Sungmin wanted to kiss him then, wanted to initiate a kiss for the first time in her life instead of pushing a slobbering idiot off of her, but stopped herself short. Maybe it was the adrenaline that had caused such a strange reaction to a boy she hardly knew and in the morning she'd see things clearly and be appalled by how intimate she'd been with him the night before. In Heechul's bed, no less. Next to Heechul. Thinking this was entirely possible, she settled for curling up on Kyuhyun's shoulder, her face pressed near his neck.
He didn't complain, and very shortly thereafter his arm came around her back, holding her close.
"Night, Sungmin," Kyuhyun whispered hoarsely, and she fell asleep with her lips parted against his throat, breathing deeply.

Kyuhyun stared blindly out the window over the kitchen sink later that morning, a full mug of coffee clutched in his hands, his face scrunched unattractively. Why... was the sun... so bright, he wondered, reaching up to rub tiredly at his eyes. He'd woken up not long ago needing to pee really fucking badly, and screamed internally at the gaming gods who had sent him the beautiful girl still sleeping with her face buried in his neck, warm little body wrapped around him, breath tickling the sensitive skin of his throat. It had taken every bit of concentration he possessed, or could muster at 9:37 in the morning, to gently shift her off of him without waking her up while trying to hold it in. After he'd relieved himself and seen his reflection in the mirror, he'd promptly taken a shower and slapped himself in the face several times to get some color in his complexion. He looked like death; dark circles under his eyes, stubble on his cheeks, his hair sticking in every which direction it possibly could.
Had he imagined Sungmin flirting with him the night before? Why would a beautiful girl act that way towards such a hideous beast? He was ugly, he smelled, he was a nerd, he was younger than her - but she'd slept beside him, on top of him, and he had thought she was almost going to kiss him, too. He would have thought it was all a dream if the stale smell of vomit hadn't hung around in the bathroom, a grotesque reminder of the harrowing night they'd all had.
Kyuhyun sipped his coffee, sighing as it soothed his throat, and let his eyes shut against the fierce morning light. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been up this early in the morning, much less-
"Kyu?" A tired but, dear God, sweet voice sounded behind him, and Kyuhyun opened his eyes, immediately looking over his shoulder to see Sungmin. She stood in the doorway of the kitchen, one arm wrapped around her torso while the other raised a hand to rub sleepily at her eyes. She still wore her pajamas - if you could call short shorts and a thin tank top pajamas, he thought weakly - and Kyuhyun shamelessly noticed that the chill of the morning made parts of Sungmin's apparently perfect anatomy painfully obvious. She looked even better in proper lighting.
"Why're you up?" Kyuhyun asked, voice faint as he lifted his eyes from Sungmin's breasts to her face. She rubbed both hands along her upper arms and bit her lower lip, pouting at him. Kyuhyun thought his legs would give out.
"I got cold," she said, voice slightly whiny, and Kyuhyun swallowed thickly. "Why'd you leave?" She asked petulantly, approaching him around the marble island in the middle of the kitchen. When she got close she stood on her toes and peered into his mug, sniffing slightly, before looking up at him with wide, hopeful eyes. Kyuhyun stared at her as she slowly lifted her hands to cover his, even more slowly tipping his mug toward her full lips, and even more slowly yet pressing them against the edge of the ceramic to take a sip of his coffee. He didn't object, especially not when her pink tongue slipped out to lick her lips afterward.
"It's too early to be up," Sungmin said with a sigh, removing her hands from Kyuhyun's and reaching them over her head. Kyuhyun stared openly as she indulged in a luxurious stretch, eyes closed, body taut. He anticipated it before it happened; the movement lifted her tank top and exposed the tan skin of her stomach, which looked particularly supple and soft and had Kyuhyun's fingers itching to touch it. He almost did, but Sungmin's arms came back down with a heavy sigh. Kyuhyun worried she would leave, but instead she pushed herself up on the counter next to him, petite legs dangling high off the ground. She leaned her shoulders against one of the cabinets and looked at him sleepily as he leaned against the countertop with his hip.
"Do you think Heechul-ah will really sleep for a whole day?" She asked, voice husky with sleep and doing unbelievable things to Kyuhyun's body and basic functioning. He shrugged and sipped his coffee, running his tongue over the ceramic where Sungmin's lips had touched, savoring the indirect kiss.
"She did last time. Or at least I think she did. I dunno, the power came back on so I was gaming," he said absently. Sungmin's delicate hand smacked his arm lightly and he turned to see her reprimanding look. "What? I left my door open, I would have heard her get up," he said defensively, scowling.
"You didn't hear me last night," Sungmin pointed out, swinging her legs around so her bare feet brushed Kyuhyun's legs now and again. He looked down at her toes, wondering if all girls had sexy feet, or if it was just her.
"I had my headset on last night," he explained, watching Sungmin's toes go 'round and 'round.
"What were you doing last night, Kyu, that made you jump when I came into the room?" She asked in a sultry voice, walking her fingertips up Kyuhyun's bare arm, causing goose bumps to break out along his flesh. His neck flushed with embarrassment at her implication and the touch of Sungmin's skin on his arm made him tremble slightly.
"Gaming," he said defensively, giving Sungmin a hard look when her fingertips snuck under the sleeve of his t-shirt and brushed hidden skin.
"Why did you jump then?" She asked, playing innocent, but Kyuhyun grabbed her wrist with his free hand and caused her to direct her eyes to his instead of watching her own playing.
He stared at her, frustrated but amused and aroused by her playful, teasing attitude. Kyuhyun wondered if other girls were like this. He couldn't remember meeting any in school... granted, he didn't really pay attention to girls, or if he noticed them, it was because they annoyed him with their gossiping or terrible, loud attitudes. Kyuhyun didn't think there were girls like Sungmin at his school; girls who tried to hold in their tears when their friends were sick, who stuck around even when they were throwing up buckets, who wanted to have conversations with Kyuhyun about things other than themselves, who teased him within an inch of his sanity and felt so good and perfect pressed against him in sleep.
"I jumped," Kyuhyun began, setting down his coffee mug without breaking eye contact. He moved in front of Sungmin, pushing his hips against her slightly parted knees until they spread apart to accommodate him. "Because some strange, half-naked girl suddenly came into my room, where no girl has any business being," he explained, hands moving to rest on Sungmin's knees when they tightened on either side of his hips.
"'No girl?'" Sungmin interrupted in her sleepy voice, both of her hands coming up to thread through Kyuhyun's hair when he released her left wrist.
"No girl," Kyuhyun repeated, eyes falling shut as Sungmin's delicate hands massaged his scalp. He was endlessly grateful for his own foresight; this would be so unsexy and probably not happening if he hadn't showered already. Even then he spared a few brain cells to wonder on what planet, in what reality could this actually be happening to him? Had this universe collided with another? Was one of his other selves really such a lucky bastard to have an opportunity like this? Kyuhyun reigned in the stray brain cells and forced them to focus on Sungmin's delicious voice instead.
"What am I then?" Sungmin all but whispered, lips dangerously close to his ear. Kyuhyun pressed his hips hard into the countertop to gain a friction he desperately needed for the first time in a long time, and slid his hands up Sungmin's thighs, listening to her breath hitch as they traveled higher, feeling the supple contours of her body until his palms were boldly grabbing her heavy breasts through thin cotton.
"Kyuhyun-ah," Sungmin gasped into his ear, fingers clenching his hair tightly in her grip.
"Aren't you a woman, Sungmin?" Kyuhyun asked, his voice rough, emphasizing his accusation with the hint of a growl. Sungmin squeezed her fingers, tugging at his hair, so Kyuhyun squeezed her breasts.
"How do you know what you're doing?" Sungmin asked, voice breathy and uneven as one of her hands slid out of his hair, down his neck, along the ridges of his spine while she undulated forward against him, her body responding to his flexing fingers.
"Whatever feels right," Kyuhyun moaned, burying his face in Sungmin's neck when he felt her heat pressing against his lower stomach. Kyuhyun wondered if this was what over-worked, middle-aged men felt like when they had their first heart attacks. His body was screaming in pain and telling him to push her down onto the counter and fu-
"GaemGyu!" Heechul's shriek pierced the quiet of the early morning, causing Kyuhyun to flinch and his arousal to flag and die a miserable, horrible death. Sungmin's fingers tightened in his hair and her hot thighs that had been squeezing his hips felt like a vice now. Her breasts still felt perfect and supple though, he noted absently, flexing his fingers and listening to her whimper. "You little shit, this isn't what I meant when I said you needed to get a girlfriend!"
