In France, Surrounded by Americans

So the most French I've gotten in today was finishing "Balzac et La Petite Tailleuse Chinoise" good read though, good read. I've been wandering around a lot, and Paris is nice when you can just walk around. The problem is that it was kind of crappy and rainy today, so I felt driven inside. I understand what you mean about Americans in foreign countries! Every time I saw Americans in Japan I wanted to hold up a sign that said, "I'm not with them!!!!!!"

Ok, maybe you don't mean that American kids in France are embarrassing to be around, but they definitely are in Japan!

I'm so glad you'll be home soon! And I hope you have a fantastic time with Pearl!!! When you go to Marseilles, you should pretend you're in The Count of Monte Cristo!!! Haha!

Indeed. You have a nasty habit of living way-the-hell-far-from-here. And I'd like to point out, too, that you have yet to make up for this by posting pictures of you surfing that we could have the good laugh that day we're missing out on by you not being here ;)

I've been drinking rather little-- maybe if you hadn't had the two martinis before logging into the blogosphere it'd have been clearer. ;) But yeah, you got the idea right. No Matt = sad. Pictures of Matt surfing = funny.
