I was browsing through Google Maps' Street View function just now, and found my grandparents' house. And, amazingly, my car was in their driveway. The Google camera car must have come through during one of my visits last summer. I'm a member of lolhistory, which is a community themed around history macros. Much of it relies on the kind of jokes that only pure history-dorks love (a Mesopotamian carving captioned "Im in UR!", a 16th century still life of a table setting labelled "I can has cheese, burgher?").

I'm too tired to post a full write-up, so see Camilla_Anna for a full account of the weekend.

We did, however, spend a weekend being the American bad guys at a War of 1812 reenactment up in Bath, Ontario. I'm bruised, stiff, sunburnt and still half-deaf from all the cannon, but it was an awesome time.
