My dog and I were meant to be together. I believe it with all my heart. She is my everything and I'd be lost without her. She is like my child that I didn't get to have. Life has knocked me down. A couple of times now. And..unlike how I tend to be when I physically get knocked to the ground, bouncing right back up, I have not bounced back quickly either time. I've been a busy bee lately. I've managed to get involved with Sammy again. I had a birthday, which turned out to be a wonderful day. Every year i'm humbled by my friends and family that send their love my way. The only person not in attendance was Dan who was at work. With all my short comings and self-perceived as well as real failures, I can say for sure that I've always gotten by honest. I work hard and I play hard. But I've never taken what wasn't mine. Today I'm attending the funeral of my dear friend's father. A good man who raised a good son. He had an easy going way and always wore a smile. His sense of humor can be seen in Mike every day.
