I loved the way you orchestrated the meeting between the two of them! Her having a cat was a nice counterpoint to him having a dog. (Nice name for the cat, too.)

Even though his choice of pet was a dog, he didn't hesitate to help (and tolerate) a bedraggled cat, which says alot about the 'inner' Saitou.

I like how Souji warmed up to her so quickly. Since dogs are known for being a good judge of character, that was very telling about the kind of person she is.

Wonderful description of her persona: barefoot with a winsome dress that floats, how she seems to eminate a glow, leaving him with the inspiration to start writing.

I look forward to seeing where this will go next!

Just wanted to mention why I like his dog's name. Dogs are said to be 'man's best friend'. Okita Souji is often portrayed in fiction as being Saitou's best friend, hence it is very fitting that Saitou's dog is named Souji. I don't think there would be any other name that would fit as well!
