It has rained almost every day for the past five days -- which is great news! We were officially classified as a "Severe Drought" area, which, coupled with the late hard freeze, was making the first year on the farm not-so-productive from a food standpoint.

Bert's taking the NCLEX next month. He's already invaluable to the telemetry floor at the VA, and we have hopes his schedule will become decent hours again soon (i.e., not working until midnight every day! That's okay in summer, but during the school year? We'd NEVER see each other.)
I'm still writing for hours a day (the good), but have made little to no progress on the actual novel (the bad). Still, what I am writing is pretty damned cool, and I think I'm getting better at it every day.
Summer is, of course, too short. :)

Strawberries are definitely in the plans, as are blueberries. We just planted some mint over in an isolated area where it can't spread TOO much.
