Torchwood Dreamin on a Summers Day

Everyone is making up wish lists for things they want to see on the fourth season of Torchwood. While the thing I want above all else is to find out that it’s really the third season and it’s opening with a quest to find and reanimate Owen, followed by the discovery that Tosh really IS still conscious (if not alive) and powering the Hub’s ( Read more... )

I love it! Write this fic, pls!

The only quibble I have is the pic of Suzie. Gwen's feelings about Suzie are illustrated by my icon! :D

I think I just did write it. Oh, you mean with dialogue and caring about which floor and so on. I'll get to it once I finish my reel_torchwood which may make it into the amnesty period if I work really hard at it and type fast with my thumbs (on the notebook which is the best I have at home right now.)

I think Gwen might have a picture of Suzie. She would at least keep a group shot that included Suzie. Maybe one that showed four on the team, making it pre-Ianto.

I just want "Children of Earth" to be scrubbed entirely, and Ianto alive and well.

The Dallas solution would be ideal for me as well, although I'd like them to wake up just as Grey is about to shoot Tosh and let Jack catch him before that happens. Then Tosh can figure out how to use the radiation to bring Owen back entirely to life. That would make me squee with glee.

But if I can't have that, I at least don't want the missing people forgotten and I desperately want Jack to at one point in the new series compare someone (a new lover or some random good looking guy on the street, perhaps) unfavorably to Ianto, then get lost in memory for a while. I want it somehow driven home (without using a sledgehammer) that Jack will not forget Ianto in a thousand years.

But regardless, I probably won't be watching the series until it's already played through once, and people who know me and who I trust tell me it's up to MY post-disastrous 3rd season expectations.

I didn't watch Children of Earth because friends warned me I'd hate it. I get very annoyed when major characters get killed just to create tragedy. Killing Tosh and Owen was annoying enough, and I really dislike Owen.

I'd settle for a crossover Time Lord "Oh shit that wasn't supposed to happen I'd better interfere so it didn't" solution. If they can have a Year That Never Was in Doctor Who, why not an Event That Never Was in Torchwood?

Hey, I vote for the whole Children of Earth thing to have happened in another dimension. Maybe not the one where Rose and Mr Smith are living, but somewhere/somewhen similar.
Or maybe the hole in Amy's wall (DW) can have unwritten that segment of history? Looks like a really good plot possibility to me.

Alas, I refuse to get my hopes up too high as yet. I'll be waiting for your stamp of approval before I watch any of it.

*I vote for no picture of Suzie on Gwen's desk.
