I am just taking a break and watching the news about India. Does anyone know what the difference is between an Islamic Militant and an Islamist Militant. One would think that if someone was Islamist, that they would be motivated enough to become Islamic. Either the BBC has made a gaff here or I am missing the point completely. -

Election fever has gripped the news channels and Obama is expected to win according the reports I am listening to. It may also come down to Florida and Ohio again. I stayed up for the last US election but I doubt I will this time as the time delay means that no meaningful results appear before 5am (or at least that is my observation from last ( Read more... ) -

Lindy hop classes
Last night I went along for my second lindy hop lesson, this time with Alex and Tom. Some improvement was noticeable and I even managed a social dance with a very nice young lady called Amy. A few weeks ago I suddenly spotted that Brett Anderson (of Suede lead singerishness) was playing at Shpeherds Bush. Now I freely admit that Suede passed me by first time around. Freewheel
I'll write up my review of the rest of the weekend after this but this one concerns Sunday and the London Freewheel. I went along to this event last year when I hadn't had my bike very long.
