Election fever has gripped the news channels and Obama is expected to win according the reports I am listening to. It may also come down to Florida and Ohio again. I stayed up for the last US election but I doubt I will this time as the time delay means that no meaningful results appear before 5am (or at least that is my observation from last time). A record turnout is also being predicted which pleases me. Politics and political elections shape the lives of everyone and so exercising your electoral duty is a matter of being a stake holder in your own life and the lives of everyone in the world. Apathy would seem to me to be a poor excuse in times like these.

Personally I hope that I wake up tomorrow to find that America has delivered a verdict to bring a Democrat back to the White House. Whilst I am not letting the hysteria surrounding him persuade me that he is actually from the planet Krypton, come to save us all, I do believe that the world will be a safer and better place if Mr Obama wins. Whatever your politics though, it is surely the duty of every American to make your beliefs and thoughts known by voting. The rest is between you and the ballot box

Have an nice day now!
