What Annoys Me About Christmas

Christmas is exactly a week away.  I have to admit that I love this season, the lights, the songs, the joy of wrapping things and sneaking them under the tree, you know.  However, there are things that annoy the hell out of me and I really want to share because it's been bugging me for quite a while.

1. Houses that have Professionally Done Christmas

I am so with you on the first 2. I sort of hate that we live in a world where there even IS something as a Professional Do-er of Christmas Lights. Where's the fun in that?

Aw, man, I LOVE those inflatable things. This is mostly because my mom and I always drive around yelling "GIANT INFLATABLE *WHATEVER* ALERT" when we see some giant inflatable object or animal outside of a business. She's always wanted to put some pointlessly inflatable thing on her lawn, I think it's awesome that now we can fill our lawns with stupid inflatable creatures! Yes, they're really tacky. But I've always had a weird soft spot for tacky Christmas decorations. I, personally, want one of the giant inflatable snowglobes. :)

I'm with you on the song lyric changing, though. I hate the one where they change the line in "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" from "Until then we'll have to muddle through somehow" to "hang a shining star upon the highest bough". Like you're not allowed to hear Christmas songs that are depressing (although I like the highest bough line, I dislike that they changed the song to make it happier).

Actually, they change the whole dang song, I just couldn't remember all the lyrics, but here they are:
