So, an update.  I am now in Kyoto after an amazing two days in Hiroshima.  We went to the A-Bomb museum and got to have a discussion/lecture from a survivor which is something that I had not had the chance to do on my other trips to the museum so that was amazing!  He story was incredibly sad (obviously) and we got to ask her questions about it ( Read more... )

So, I just climbed Mt. Iwate. I am really fucking tired and hurting all over and have sunburned my face, neck, and arms pretty badly. Sweet farmers tan tho. So, I am in Japan in case anybody missed that fact. I am having a total blast! The group dynamics seem to be great and my host family is awesome! Morioka is a great little town (280,000) and it reminds me alot of Sofia in that it is surrounded on all sides by mountains.
