(no subject)
So, I just climbed Mt. Iwate. I am really fucking tired and hurting all over and have sunburned my face, neck, and arms pretty badly. Sweet farmers tan tho. I will post pictures tomorrow when I get to a computer at Iwate University. It was a little over a 4km hike each way but most of it was straight up hill. It took about 3 1/2 hours to get to the 8th station where we waited for half an hour to rest and then about another 45 minutes to the summit. A little before we hit the half way point, we went above the clouds and so all since it was really cloudy down below, we saw a giant ocean of clouds. Right before the half way point, the trail leads basically straight up the mountain and there are volcanic rock everywhere. For an hour and a half or so, it was really hard climbing but once we got beyond that, it was easy going. The view was amazing!! I will try and write more later but today was soo amazing that I wanted to write something down.
Emails from people are appreciated. I have written sooo many long emails this semester that it is totally nuts but I do like keeping in touch with people as much as I can. The group is still going well and we had a great night on thursday night that I will have to talk more about some other time.
