I fondly remember the movie Groundhog's Day, if only because I can sympathize with the feeling of being stuck in a stubborn loop. When reality twists the thumbscrews and the horizons of depression broaden to encompass us completely, it can be easy to fall into the self-perpetuating cycle of hopelessness.

Tonight, like most nights, passed rather uneventfully. A little paperwork, a little breakfast prep, and a lot of walking around wiping stuff off and finding things to report to management. At thirty years of age, it's difficult to assess in a momentary glace what I've made of my life. I doubt it will be much easier at forty, fifty, or even beyond that.
