Preparations have begun!

Tonight, like most nights, passed rather uneventfully. A little paperwork, a little breakfast prep, and a lot of walking around wiping stuff off and finding things to report to management. My duties, while not physically demanding, do require a keen awareness of the paperwork and property while maintaining a willingness to methodically perform the host of menial tasks with repeated flawless execution. I've said that a monkey could do this job, but only a well trained monkey with acute insomnia and an eye for numbers can pull of what I do every night. :)

Getting ready for the upcoming move is exciting, but our lack of actual progress so far is making me anxious. I like to make the decision to move and then actually do it. I can't stand this sitting around waiting for the day to come when we can afford to make a huge "first month's rent" payment + utilities deposit + all the other costs of moving. If apartment complexes weren't so loathe to give tenants their deposit back when they rightfully deserve it, it wouldn't be nearly as stressful, but Courtyard has a bad reputation of keeping a departing tenant's deposit, regardless of the state of the apartment when they leave. Sadly, we have no say if our deposit refund; since we're breaking our lease (one month early), we forfeit our deposit AND have to pay an additional $175! It's sheer madness, but in the end we made the decision to move into the MUCH larger space (moving from 1 bed, 1 bath to 3 bed, 2 bath) because we desperately need the room and the extra space will enable us to empty our storage unit and save that money each month!

Can't win for losing... but each day we suffer makes our final victory that much sweeter!

Not much going on in WoW, which is sad considering at this point I have NINE (9) level 85 characters, ALL of which are ilvl 370-387 (most are above 380 at this point). However, my altitis hasn't driven me to really push into Dragon Soul normal or heroic encounters at all. In fact, I've run LFR on every toon several times now, but I've only done 5/8 Normal on Maalpractice... and that was nearly 6 weeks ago now! I just haven't felt the need to teeter on the bleeding edge of progression raiding like I did a year ago. I guess I'm just looking forward to MoP more now that I have characters ready to level right out the gate. However, I know when MoP drops I'm going to roll a Monk and that will take a HUGE portion of my time so I don't know what the state of "my" game is going to look like in 6 months from now. We'll just have to wait and see. :)
