Went swing dancing again on Saturday night, and I'm already itching to go again next month. I had a little old Eastern European man with choppy English come back to me for 3 different dances. I finally saw the new Pride and Prejudice today at the dollar theater. I'm not sure if I like it better than the BBC version. But I do know that I liked it well enough that I don't feel compelled to put 5 hours into the Colin Firth version anytime soon.

Two nights ago I took a Cha-Cha lesson--for the heck of it. And last night I went to a big swing dance in Cleveland. The live band was called Madison Crawl. I had at least as much fun as I did at the old Rochester dances. So, the puppy has a name. In fact, she has had a name since Monday, but I've had some computer problems. I am now taking suggestions for names for our new puppy. (Yes, I know it's awfully soon after Otis' death, but my little brother is rather persuasive.) She's a 4-month-old Shepherd/Chow mix. She's very playful and curious. She will grow to be a smaller large dog, and her fur is thick and soft, but not outrageously long like on purebred chows. ( Read more... )
