Oh, I like your list! *hugs it tight* As for the weather, we're supposed to have a high of 18F today but thankfully the snow has stopped. Winter, thou art a bitter bitch.

I think we're *going* to have a high of 18 today. It's still only 15 degrees and it's overcast and snowing.

I'd watch all of these shows. :) Especially the Joe Dawson spinoff!

Yeah, I really want the Joe show!

It would be an interesting show, but...I never really bought into the Watchers. I can accept immortals living forever and fighting duels to the death, and whatnot, but the Watchers as depicted in the show just don't compute. But I'd still watch it.

How old is Matthew? I remember reading one of the HL production staff on usenet years ago saying that they wished they'd established Duncan as being older because toward the end of the series, they were running out of flashback periods that weren't already covered. (Apparently, at one point they'd considered making the hero 800 years old instead of 400, but when they decided he had to be a protege of Connors, that went out the window.)

::shrugs:: I could see Joe narrating it, sometimes, from the immmortals' own translated diaries, for that matter.

And Matthew's coming up on 800, born in 1225. He could be very interesting. Yeah, Panzer bitched at one Dragon Con that if they'd had any idea the show would run so many eps, they'd have made Duncan older. And he'd have never killed off Fitz.

I've always wanted the spinoff to be "The Watchers". It could be about Joe and other Watchers in the organization with episodes about the different Immortals they watch. Duncan could be mentioned and his storyline continued that way. Methos could be around occasionally. It would have been great.

Thumbs up on Oz as well.

It was spitting snow this morning when I got to Memphis. Not so much now that I'm home. Brrrrr.

::nodding:: Yeah, using the Watchers as the framework would let us have stories on all of them, even the ones they killed off. And it's still spitting snow here. Sheesh.

Agree with you on all except #4, but I didn't watch much X files soo... (and I first accidentally typed that as X flies, lol!)

I would have loved to have seen that bit of Methos, Joe and Matthew. Couldn't they have done that the last season, almost? I remember hearing Adrian Paul was getting a bit tired of the series (and the sword-fighting stuff) and having stories with Matthew, Methos or Joe would have been a great way to give Paul a break.

And with Matthew, imagine him in modern FBI cases! I'm sure he would still wear all the bullet proof stuff. But you're talking a guy who has had almost 800 years worth of dealing with bad guys, I'm sure he could out think most criminals on his worst days.

Ah, well, that's what fanfic is for, right?

And I'm glad to hear that they never would have killed Fitz. Does that mean we can pretend Fitz is still alive? Oh, heck, I do that anyway. (And Richie is still alive in my universe. lol!)

Oh, they regretted it immediately, damn near, but they really never thought the show'd make 5.5 seasons. They were hoping for three.

And yeah, an ensemble show would have helped by the end. Pity! And yup, fanfic is for fixing, or trying, all sorts of things!

I've always wished the spin off had been the Methos and Joe show. I hadn't thought about Oz's spin off potential, and that sort of surprises me given how much I've always liked him. I wanted stories about his life while he was off trying to get enough control of himself to return to Willow. I loved Oz and Willow/Oz.

Yeah, the Joe and Methos show would have been a blast. (I wouldn't have minded the Sean and Rebecca show, either.) And Oz was always a wonderfully calm, strange, laconic element in that show!
