I don't generally read fic that freaks me out, and then I'm horrible about remembering names and titles, which is worse. It took a ridiculous amount of time to come up with five scary/creepy/atmospheric ones that I want to rec --

I'm a wuss too. But I may try and be brave and give those a try!

Let's see, I think the scariest one I can think of was 'Something Borrowed, Something Blue' -- Methos as a serial killer. I remember when I first read it back in the day, it freaked me out!

Oh, honey. I have both a horror tag and a slowreveal tag on Delicious now for just this sort of question. Of course, it doesn't cover the older stories, like the highlander stuff, just what I've read in the last couple of years. I don't remember if you read SGA, but even if you haven't been keeping up with it and are only vaguely aware of who the characters are, Sistinas will still creep you out.

The Fraser Record, by custardpringle. A due South/House of Leaves cross-over that creeped me right the fuck out.

Handled With a Chain by gryphonrhi. Highlander. This story of James Horton's descent into darkness disturbed me to the point where I eventually started writing my own fic.

Desert Mirage, by teresa_c. Highlander. A subtle and creepy short look at Ahriman's next attempt on Duncan's sanity. Now with bonus Sympathy with the Devil remix by keerawa.
