What are the 5 creepiest or most frightening pieces of fan fiction you have ever read?
Huh. You know, I'm a wuss. I don't generally read fic that freaks me out, and then I'm horrible about remembering names and titles, which is worse. It took a ridiculous amount of time to come up with five scary/creepy/atmospheric ones that I want to rec -- tomorrow, I'll probably wake up with ten more I could have listed...
1. Metempsychosis, by Laura Jaquez. Highlander, and Methos, and I can't tell you why this is terrifying without giving away the plot. Don't read this right before you go to bed, is all I can say.
2. Still-Heart, by Sleeps with Coyotes/ciceqi. Highlander. What if the old monsters were real, and after you, and you couldn't remember why or how to fend them off?
3. Inhabited, by ltlj -- SGA fic. "John followed the ghosts to the unexplored sectors, walked empty corridors, cold silver floors."
4. Three Days Down, by Jane St. Clair. Highlander. "He got buried once. Well, more than once, probably, but it's just the once he remembers."
5. Coalescence, by tarshaan. X-Files, from a lyric wheel. "When she opens her eyes, she's in Hong Kong." About riding, and being ridden.
Anyone got other scary/creepy story recommendations? Or you know, just stories with appropriate critters?
