Very sad news today: the death, seemingly by suicide, of Junior Seau, one of the all time greats of American football

As a long-time died-in-the-wool Chargers fan, I'm left stunned by this news. Peace and hugs to Junior Seau's family, friends, and loved ones.

Sad indeed. Junior Seau was one of my favorite players. Have to rank him in the top 5 of them. He was always one of the good guys. When he signed with the Dolphins I was really excited. So sad to see him go, esp. in the manor that it was.

I saw the news yesterday. As someone who grew up in San Diego, I am immensely sad. He had such an impact on my home town.

He made a lasting impression, on every community that he played for.
My favorite memory is when he broke his arm (severely), during a game, had an air cast put on and returned to the sidelines, to support his team mates.

Football aside, this is very sad, indeed.
