I tend to forget this is here. For all intents and purposes, this journal is now archival. It's interesting to go back through the years and see how I've changed/grown/etc., but I find I have less and less to write about that isn't music reviews. What happens when you combine Tiny Tim, Gary Lawrence, Rod Stewart, tennis courts, chicks in lingerie pretending to play instruments, and wet t-shirts?
Believe it or not, Throbbing Gristle were huge supporters of this project; all recording equipment was lent from the Industrial Records studio. Something about this track fascinates and disturbs me, even if it's basically dark synthpop. The vague vocals and slightly menacing tone probably have a lot to do with it

Anyone else think it's ironic that Malcolm McLaren passed away not too long after PiL "regrouped"?
Still, scummy as he was, it all might have been drastically different without him. The swindle is over after 30+ years; the impact will never truly fade. Rest in peace, you crazy fool. You earned it.
