Lizor was out on one of his many restless wanderings, unable to find any recharge during his rest cycle. He had plenty to calculate on, especially to do with Aadi...and what he had learned as well as fresh newly integrated memories to process over ( ... )

Boomer had chuckled at the rebound, catching Lizor's shoulder lightly for a moment to steady him, though letting go easily as the other program backed off, "Steady on, there."

He shook his head, smiling crookedly, "Usually get that reaction before the actual rebound. You alright there, Program?" His voice matched the rest of him, a warm baritone rumble with a slight accent.

Lizor sensed no threat - instead finding the other program rather warm and welcoming in demeanor. Along with that energy resonance, he had the feeling that this one would be able to be trusted. The taller program had just caught him off guard, which had set his combat subroutines on edge.

Working on calming them down - he straightened, relaxing his stance with a curt nod. "I am undamaged." He affirmed. "I was just caught off guard while wandering. I apologize for disturbing you." He said calmly and rather polite. A part of him was rather affronted at himself for being caught unawares in the first place - when normally he was always so -aware- of his surroundings.

He chuckled again, giving a rolling shrug, "I wouldn't worry about it none, ain't often I go unnoticed. You were thinking hard."

He offered a hand then, "Name's Boomer, neighborhood watch." Occasionally he still introduced himself as City Watch, but for the most part now it was the smaller area.

Tron was out patrolling the system as he usually did. No sign of any grid bugs or anomolies. That was good. He noticed the system was running smooth and most programs were at ease these days. As far as he could notice anyway. He walked along a route which he knew well, just past the centre of the City. Now that the MCP had gone, he felt more at peace in his own land. No more Sark. No more threats.

His keen eyes spotted movement up ahead. A program? He walked a little faster, his hands going to his disc if it indeed was a threat. He saw the man and frowned.

'Greetings. I don't think we've met before. I was just patrolling this sector.,' he gave the man a nod.

His brow arched at the greeting, "'course we've met. You're Tron, ain'tcha?" And then, remembering what was going on with the oddities of the Portal he shook his head, "Or maybe we haven't." He extended a hand then, "Name's Boomer, neighborhood watchman."

He shook the other program's hand. 'No, I don't believe we have met before, Boomer. It is good to see another watcher in the system. Have you been patrolling the sectors for long?,' he looked interested in how this program came about. As far as Tron was concerned, he was the only security program that existed.

'I have heard about the portal and the problems it has been having. We need to get that fixed. Anything could get in otherwise. Viruses, grid bugs. Who knows what else,' he watched the other program carefully.

A grin broke out then, clapping the other program on the shoulder, friendly as ever, and surprisingly gently for someone his size, "Been keeping neighborhood watch since I got brought back." A shrug, "Figured I might as well just pick up the same assignment you went and gave me in the first place."

A shrug, "Well, one of you did, anyway."

She had no idea where she was when she opened her eyes. Laying on her back, sprawled out on the ground she blinked upwards - pixellated vision revealing that she was in the narrow space between two tall building structures. She kept still for a while - processes sluggish. What happened, what was going on? Where was her counterpart? She couldn't feel her....in fact - nothing felt right.

She felt so alone.

Managing to roll over and get to her feet - the little search program shuffled to the mouth of the alley, leaning on the wall and peeking out. Nothing looked familiar at all. Her long black hair was mussed...the delicate filaments lining it were loose and dangling. Her light in general was rather weak - she needed energy.

Well standing there wasn't going to get her any..so she hugged an arm about her middle as she shuffled off down the street, keeping a hand on the nearest wall. Sor...where are you? She felt a pang, not feeling the familiar presence respond.

It was the movement that caught his eye first, closely followed by a pang of concern at just how dim those circuits were. He hustled closer, making sure he was visible, since he didn't like startling anyone by sneaking up on them, granted, sneaking up on anyone was a little hard for him to manage, usually.

"You alright?" Was the first question, followed by holding out a hand, palm out in an attempt to be as non-threatening as possible, "Name's Boomer, system security, you're looking a little static-y."

Kweri seemed to shrink against the wall - looking even smaller as the large tall program approached her. Her blurry vision only afforded the appearance of a hulking silhouette as her only warning. She didn't really feel frightened per se. Just tired and wary...what was the point of anything if her partner was derezzed? She had to be if she couldn't feel her.

However - at the sound of the large program's voice...and seeing the offered hand, she blinked large striking pale green eyes as she craned her head up to look at him. Finally - a small hand reached up to rest against Boomer's palm - soon followed by a second. Her fingers were long and slender, just like the rest of her as she gripped at his large fingers weakly. She looked like a good gust of wind would blow her over.

"I'm Kweri." She whispered, with a small smile - though it did not quite reach her eyes.

"Good to meet you, Kweri." He replied, keeping hold of her hands gently, "Something tells me you were expecting to find yourself somewhere else. Not too far off the mark, am I?"

He was perfectly fine just being a stable presence, it was something he was good at, after all, and he asked: "You aren't going to fall over if I give you a boost, are you? You could use one, I can tell."

~it's a beautiful day in the neeeighborhood~ namesram May 10 2011, 02:35:45 UTC
Ram's window was only a few stories up, with an excellent view of the street below: a wide boulevard with only two tank lanes and plenty of room for lightcycles.

It was wonderful having a forcefield around that didn't zap you when you touched it, and in return for its obliging friendliness in that respect, Ram leaned through it every chance he got. Today, looking around with his arms folded on the sill, the actuarial program noticed a familiar figure pacing along the sidebar. "Hey there, Boomer!" he called. "How've you been?"

[[so Ram and Boomer totally live in the same neighborhood y/y? ^____^]]

He blinked up at the voice, then smiled, giving the other program a wave, "Ram! Doing just fine. No complaints." He cocked his head then, both brows arching, "How about yourself? Anything exciting going on in your circles?"

Not that their social circles were all that different, all in all, it was just that Ram's was a little bigger, since he was somewhat more gregarious than Boomer was.

(hellz to the yeah. Which means that Ram'll probably be meeting Boomer's new ward one of these days)

Ram waved back, grinning at the burly security program. "Lots of new parameters, that's all. Anybody else moved in since the few millicycles? We've kind of been flooded with change requests so I fell out of the loop."

[[awesome! :D]]

He nodded, "Couple that I know of. One of them's living with me now." He gave a rolling shrug, perfectly comfortable, and really perfectly friendly, "Name's Kweri, about yea-high." He gestured, his hand just about mid-torso, "Lost her other half on the re-rez, or if she's back nobody's seen her."
