Sunny and warm today. A high of 91.9F, with a heat index of 94F.

And a good morning for writing. I did 1,080 words on the chapbook/novella. There are only two scenes left to go, and I hope I will be done on Sunday. Then it will need a fairly solid polish, but still. It will be good to have it done.

I accomplished absolutely nothing today.

It was a day that may as well not have taken place; better it had not.

The afternoon's movie was Matt Reeves' The Batman (2022). And I began reading Peter Watts' Behemoth.

A bright, sunny morning that became an intermittently cloudy afternoon. I don't think there was any rain. Our high was 70F.

This was an oddly hectic day, during which not nearly as much got done as I would have liked. But! Genuine progress on The Night Watchers, which really counts for a lot.

Autumn weather is creeoing in. At least Kathryn is relived. It was mostky overcast today. Our high was only 80F.

I woke at 6:30 this morning sweating and feeling ill, then realized I'd left the window open all night, so the humidity inside was about a million degrees. Anyway, another very warm day before a slight cool down tomorrow. A mix of clouds and sun today, a smattering of rain, and the high was 82˚F.
