"It's not going to stop 'til you wise up."

Yesterday, I wrote 1,179 words on the final chapter (oh, thank fuck) of Red Delicious. Probably, I'm no more than four days, at most, from The End. But, I have to stop today and make all the line edits to the ms. for the Centipede Press edition of The Drowning Girl: A Memoir. It occurs to me, just now, that I need to make sure that this is the ( Read more... )

editing, the drowning girl, fossils, jvp, ichthyology, red delicious, "the prayer of ninety cats, alabama, sharks, the wide carnivorous sky, then vs. now, " cold spring, defiance, submag

Here's hoping warmer weather is headed your way in time to celebrate The End when you find it.

That would be nice.

I guess we'll have to give Defiance a shot when/if it's available online.

Yeah progress, even if it's not as much as you'd like.

It's available online NOW, via Hulu Plus (and maybe regular Hulu). But you have to watch it on your computer.

I love the show Defiance but can't say the same for the tie in game. I have a problem with companies - a partnership between the Sly-fy network and Trion Worlds, blatantly ripping off the gaming community by charging $150 for the whole game and trying to convince us their FPS is an MMO. The Basic game is $49 but you can't unlock certain, important areas unless you upgrade for another $50 and then you have to buy a season pass to unlock the rest of it, for another $50.

Let's hope the show lasts - but judging for Sly-fy's past performance on keeping shit for programing and cutting good programing I doubt it. Sorry for my tantrum.

My only problem with the game - which I rather like - is that it's pretty much a third-perosn, over-the-shoulder shooter, essentially a console game, and I would have liked an actual RPG.

I think Trion is a great company, but I didn't know about all these hidden expenses. We did the beta.

Don't apologize for a tantrum against the Skiffy channel. They've spent most of the last fifteen years fucking shit up. I still haven't forgiven them for canceling Caprica partway into Season One.

We're straining to reach about the same here, temperature wise. I'm grateful for the dry and that the sun is at least out.

I can't even imagine having to edit in a manner that allows for better translation. Oi. Good luck.

Yeah, I'm trying.

I can't even imagine having to edit in a manner that allows for better translation.

I've never done it.

Before I locked into Defiance I had meant to comment on The Prayer of Ninety Cats. I could not agree more, I love the story. It seems the old Countess keeps popping up in the oddest places. Cradle of Filths concept album Cruelty and the Beast tells the Black Metal version of her life.
