As Spooky just said, it's very wrong that people hear "Nemo" and think of that damned orange fish.

I haven't written in two days, which means the word bank - which had enough words to cover two days - is now empty. However, before I can go back to work on Red Delicious, I have to write something for Sirenia Digest #86

The colour in those final two photos is striking. Tunnels leading down into some nether region.

Christ how I fucking hated "Finding Nemo".

Belated congrats on the Locus list! My damn Google chrome has been acting up with that "Pepperflash" Plugin so I am just getting caught up here after disabling it! Missed the pre-order on Blood Oranges so I ordered it at the Barnes & Noble (ick, I miss Borders-but they promised if I get it elsewhere I can say I don't need it and they keep it there...sooo...I am scheming to get a few more on their shelves). subtlesttrap's mention of it a few entries back ("Your work is always viscerally visual but this novel truly bangs along like some badass bastard of Joss Whedon & Quentin Tarantino! I truly hope someone in Hollywood will fill your coffer for the film rights.") has me pretty stoked to get my paws on it!

The orange sky of a heavy snow is...well, I was going to say how much I love that light, but then I realized it's manufactured by city light pollution.

I like the night photos. That sodium light looks like sepia, and the snow-blurring the faint silver grain of plates developed in another time.

(The snow cat is also pretty cool.)

I spent almost all of the afternoon shoveling. There will have to be more tomorrow morning, but at least all relevant surfaces were cleared.
