From the Phillippines to Newcastle? Those are pretty eclectic destinations. I wonder what Spooky's dad makes of the Geordies. There are a shitload of cliches about that city over here.

"a CIA operative only masquerading as an anthropologist"

Is there a good film in this?

Glad you got the AC sorted.

And just before that, I think he was in Ecuador.

He had a conference to go to. Was asked to give a talk. Newcastle is not a usual destination for him. He did have a little time at home between trips, but just a little.

Still not feeling very productive today. I've been struggling against a tidal illness that keeps robbing me of coherence and energy every other day, along with various biological treats I shant mention. The pair of letter sets I've devised for my graphic novel project are nice, but I need a few more sets before I get started in earnest, and I'm too tired to be dazzling just now ( ... )

And I hope you're feeling much better soon, as well!

Finished a watch of Deathly Hallows pt 1 so we can see part 2.

Lord you two require a new mode of transport, a new mechanic, and several cool days.

Well, I refuse to be classed as "horror," but yeah. Thank you. That was a very fine paragraph.

And we're stuck with this van for a long time to come, I think.

Oh. My driver's listing people who died at 27. Stake Land the movie was good. Super 8 felt like "nothing new under the sun." Hot enough out there?

Super 8 felt like "nothing new under the sun."

I've honestly never cared about originality. Loved the film.

Glad to hear the house has cooled down with the added AC.

The van on the other hand, well fingers crossed.

At least as you noted the misadventures turned out to have a plus in them.

It seems like the fuel injectors are still clogging. The mechanic cleaned them before I was allowed to bring the van home on Tuesday, but as I have come to understand with things like this, sometimes it takes more than one cleaning to dislodge all the gunk that's causing the trouble.
On the up side, cleaning the injectors is not something that takes days to do. Hopefully a second go at it will resolve the issue and I can continue to enjoy a functioning vehicle. I'll know on Monday if my thoughts about clogged injectors are correct.

Hate Mechanics could be a thing. (A rock band made up of Breakers from The Dark Tower? Maybe!)
